Girdwood Fire and Rescue is a non-profit organization under contract with the Municipality of Anchorage. We provide top quality Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services to Girdwood Valley Service Area and Turnagain Arm residents. We are committed to providing the highest level of care and service to our community.

Adopting a hydrant can save lives! Girdwood Fire and Rescue encourages residents to adopt a hydrant near their home or business and keep it clear of snow, debris, tall grass, and weeds. This helps first responders access it quickly in an emergency -because faster access means faster response times.

Does your business or office have an automated external defibrillator (AED)? The PulsePoint AED app allows users to register publicly available AEDs, which can be located on a map in the app for quick access during a cardiac emergency.
