CPR: Skills That Save Lives
Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere – at home, at work, or out in public – and when it does, the people nearby are the first line of defense long before paramedics arrive. Immediate CPR can double or triple a person’s chance of survival, yet many people freeze in the moment because they’ve never been trained or it’s been years since their last refresher. Knowing CPR means you’re ready to help a coworker, a family member, or a stranger in the time it actually matters most. Anchorage already has one of the highest cardiac arrest survival rates in the country. Community members trained in CPR are a big part of why.
